Momints has come a long way baby! Since our early days pulling mint-filled carts through the snow and ice covered avenues of New York City , to selling to the largest retailers on four continents, Momints has grown tremendously in a very short time. We have traded in the carts for plane tickets, and we’ve tossed our worn out sneakers in favor of comfortable desk chairs and hi-tech gadgetry. All of this in less than one year from the first sale on a cold winter morning to the bodega on corner of 6th Ave. and 37 th Street.

Anthony Shurman, an avid traveler, was relaxing in the shade at a bar in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil when he had an epiphany. He couldn’t help but notice that nearly everybody at the bar was smoking and, more importantly, that almost all of them used the cellophane of their cigarette pack to carry items such as matches, gum, and folded paper money. In the past Anthony had seen people wedge things into this little pouch-like sleeve, but had never seen it used on such a wide scale.. In an environment where people wore little more than a bathing suit, they had come to use this tight little spot as a much needed pocket to carry critical belongings. His mind started to wander and soon enough he felt he was onto something. He began researching the logistics of the idea upon his return to the US and immediately recognized a product that would truly be the perfect complement to the little pouch. Anthony knew he had a very unique product from the beginning, a dispenser that would allow smokers to tuck breath mints into their cigarette packs and dispense mints directly from that point. However, wanting the dispenser to appeal to the non-smoker as well, Anthony was careful to consider the overall portability of the dispenser, designing it to be very thin so it could be easily tucked into the “change” pocket on a pair of jeans or a sleeve in a wallet. An added bonus came in Momints’ unique product form, a miniature round liquid-filled capsule.
